I don't know. I know nothing of these filmmakers, but I don't think one
should make a big deal about the film's low budget. I recently saw an
excellent film made on 1/1000th of what they've budgeted for Atlas
Shrugged. Big budget blockbusters tend to be about eye candy, and things
like character, plot, and message get lost among that. Whereas a low
budget tends to drive creativity. As epic as AS is, it's ultimately
about the interaction between characters, and you don't need much of a
budget to show that, especially nowadays.

Of course, I say that as a lifelong Doctor Who fan. Look at The Sun
Makers--an inspiring tale of revolution against oppression and high
taxation made on a shoestring budget with no post production at all.
