Greetings, all,
In reporting on the Republican runoff in the Eigth Congressional  
District, the Charlotte Observer has consistently mentioned that the  
winner will face the Democrat incumbent in the fall, without  
mentioning the candidacy of Thomas Hill. I have sent the following LTE  
in response. I tried to keep it painfully short, in order to protect  
it as much as possible from the well-known Observer editing hatchet  
jobs.

To the editor:
In coverage of the Republican runoff in the Eighth District, I've  
noticed that the Observer consistently mentions that the winner will  
face Democratic Incumbent Larry Kissell in November. That is a  
mischaracterization. In fact, the winner will face Kissell and  
Libertarian Thomas Hill.
